Origin Story
Grown on small family farms scattered across the mountains above Lake Tanganyika, this coffee is cultivated at elevations reaching up to 2,000 meters and processed at the Migoti Hill washing station, located on the slopes of Migoti Mountain. The name "Migoti" comes from an indigenous tree species and reflects the deep roots of this project in the local landscape and culture.
Every cherry is hand-picked and delivered to the station, where it’s sorted and processed with great care by a dedicated team led by station manager Zephyrin Banzubaze. The result is a coffee that showcases the potential of Burundi’s high-elevation Bourbon variety, sweet, structured, and complex.
In the cup, Murambi Hill is bright and elegant with notes of tangerine and black tea. It’s a vibrant expression of terroir and tradition.
