Situated in the fertile central highlands, the area benefits from high elevations, rich volcanic soils, cool temperatures, and plentiful rainfall, creating ideal conditions for producing vibrant, complex coffees with exceptional sweetness.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eKamwangi Factory is one of three washing stations operated by the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society, which works with around 1,500 smallholder coffee farmers across the region. The cooperative plays an important role in supporting local producers, helping farmers improve coffee quality while strengthening the communities that depend on coffee production.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003eCarefully selected ripe cherries are delivered to the factory before undergoing Kenya's traditional fully washed process. The cherries are pulped and fermented for 24 to 36 hours before being washed and graded through channels, separating the densest and highest-quality beans. The coffee is then soaked in clean water before being carefully dried on raised African beds, where it is turned regularly to ensure even drying.
